What is IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)?

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is a long-term condition  that affects your digestive system.

It can cause pain and a difference in your bowels.  In the UK, 1 in 2 people have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and symptoms usually occur between 20-30 and affects women more than men.

Lifestyle changes can make a difference to the severity of your IBS but the first step is to identify the root cause of what creates your specific IBS after all we all have a unique genetic blueprint.

With a change in lifestyle, there can be relief. However if your symptoms are new or have changed, it’s important to seek advice from your GP.
